I look back at my past, holding a cigarette in my hand, hundreds and hundreds of pounds overweight and not understanding ‘How’, ‘Why’, ‘What to do’. I didn’t care about my health until it was ALMOST TOO LATE. I was high risk for a heart attack at that size... I was 470 pounds on the left... four hundred and seventy pounds.... that’s crazy... how did that happen... how did I get so fat?

I didn’t understand my nutrition as I do today. I didn’t know what a carb was. How to track my protein and how much I needed daily. Why not to eat specific foods and to completely reshape what I was taught.... just because ‘you think you know’ doesn’t mean you’re right. I was so cocky that I would face my problem.

Today I have shredded pound after pound after pound after pound after pound till I lost THREE HUNDRED AND FIFTY POUNDS and took back control OF MY LIFE.

No more struggling to get up from the couch, bed, floor... sleep apnea, high blood pressure, heart attack risk, high cholesterol, diabetes, vertigo, passing out, snoring, being remove as the guy who ate himself to death.

Thursday: An unexpected work lunch came up which was a 3 course set. The trick is to find the healthiest, no sauce meal. Skip the bread and only eat half the carbs (rice). I can't say no to dessert though.

* 200g caned and rinsed chickpeas
* 1 tbs tahini
* 1 tsp olive oil
* 1/2 squeezed lemon
* Pinch of dried coriander
* 1 clove of garlic
* Pinch of chipotle chili
* Fresh parsley
* Some of the aquafaba
* Finish with salt and pepper
Put everything in your blender and mix

Chips and salsa for dinner again! 😆 I actually love chips and salsa and occasionally that’s what we have for dinner not gonna lie. It’s not all fancy food all the time. No one has time for that! What I can tell you is that we do have sit down dinners more often than not since I started meal planning. Almost 11month post op as #gastricsleevepatient. My #highestweightever was 415lbs wearing being 5’9 that was still at my #morbilyobese stage. Not able to walk,breathe,and super depressed !! My #emotionaleating  was out of control. My #highbloodpressure was crazy and I was very close to becoming a #diebetic. This was all scary I’m only 37 now but my mom died in 2010 of #diabetes at the age of 47. I knew I had to do something. That I did. Lost 75lbs on a #highproteinlowcarb #mealplan eating a lot #meat and #diary and was down to 356lbs before #vsl. I waiting to weigh my self on my 12th month because I’m going mainly by how I feel. #scalenumbersdontmatter and dint necessarily reflect what you fit or look like. When I recently switch over to #plantbasedfoods it has sealed it all. Life is amazing!!! #weighlossgoals are not a dream. Just hard work. #youcamdoittoo

I typically hate meal planning & prepping but with my programs, there is so much guidance that it actually makes preparing food enjoyable 😍
Eating healthy is NOT hard.
It’s about making the most of your time & thinking ahead.
It’s about making better choices & small adjustments to your everyday habits.
Here are a few tips that I always thought helped me... ❤️
✨ Always plan ahead - Think of simple go-to recipes that make it easier & be sure to write up a shopping list!
✨ Stick to the list & never shop hungry! Steer clear of temptations, focus on your list, & of course, never enter the grocery store with a hungry stomach 🤦🏼‍♀️
✨ Prep your food in large batches - Take a few hours out of one day to whip up everything for the week. It makes a HUGE difference during the week!!
✨ Protein shakes/Shakeology - These can be a life saver & helps make one meal super quick and easy. Be careful tho...not all protein shakes are healthy!
✨ Stock up on Tupperware containers! These are a necessity for the meal prep life & it’s helpful to wash your dishes as each day passes. That way, you’re not stuck with a billion plastic containers to clean at the end of the week 😂
✨ Remember your WHY - Always think about the purpose behind it. It will keep you motivated and ready to do it all over again next week!!

A friend of a friend brought back these pili nuts from the Philippines. I’ve been snacking on them for 2 days now - they are sooo good and buttery. And this morning I pull out a nut and it’s attached to another nut by a long black hair 😳. There is no nutritional value label on the bottle but the hair would definitely go under the “may contain” section for extra protein 🤣 lol

Heute war ich auf Fortbildung und deshalb hatte ich am Morgen keine Zeit zum Hochladen meiner Frühstücksbox. Nun also jetzt. 6.2 pounds down in 24 days! This is the longest I’ve EVER stuck to a weight loss plan, you guys. I was worried to post this because my weight loss has slowed down. I bought some @sugar2.0 from Amazon earlier this week, and it is really good! It’s half sugar, half soluble fiber, 10 calories instead of 15, and only 2 net carbs per tsp. I’d say it’s about 90% as sweet as regular cane sugar.

The fiber was the main reason I bought it though. Three teaspoons in my morning coffee gives me 6 grams of fiber, and protein and fiber keep me feeling full far better than anything else. There is also a version that contains fiber and probiotics, so maybe I’ll try that one next.

450 comidas pesadas y balanceadas en total durante tres meses, comiendo 5 veces por día sin trampas ni días libres aferrado a mi  plan alimenticio y de ejercicio al 100%, entrenando de lunes a sábado sin faltar un solo día y muchas veces sin dejar descansar al cuerpo, soportando hambre, cambios de humor, sed, fatiga, ansiedad, mareos, dolor de cuerpo, mucho bullying, mucho dinero invertido pero todo valió la pena por alcanzar mi meta y estoy súper contento con el resultado... 450 comidas pesadas y balanceadas en total durante tres meses, comiendo 5 veces por día sin trampas ni días libres aferrado a mi plan alimenticio y de ejercicio al 100%, entrenando de lunes a sábado sin faltar un solo día y muchas veces sin dejar descansar al cuerpo, soportando hambre, cambios de humor, sed, fatiga, ansiedad, mareos, dolor de cuerpo, mucho bullying, mucho dinero invertido pero todo valió la pena por alcanzar mi meta y estoy súper contento con el resultado...
