This album was the soundtrack to my teens and for a long time the message I listened to over and over again reassuring me that I wasn't alone in what I was experiencing at the time.
Crippling loneliness, constantly scared out of my wits and systematically broken down by a mixture of being ignored by my peers, by the school system and at home. The entire time I felt completely isolated and frozen, spending school holidays learning the Unix command line while listening to this on repeat. Every lyric, every sound wave is embedded in my synapses and I could possibly play it backwards in my head at this point.
This album was there for me when no one else was. Not only is it masterfully recorded, engineered and executed, it's the old friend that beckons every now and again; "you were alone, now you're not and as long as you continue to try you never will be again." - 1 minute ago
