THE MAGICAL MYSTICAL GUT!! ⭐️
As you may or may not know, our gut houses a mass of GOOD and BAD bacteria (also known as the microbiome). Should the bad bacteria get out of hand there is risk to; poor immunity and gut integrity, fungal and yeast overgrowth, decline in cognitive performance and energy etc. (the list goes ON!). .

When considering that up to 80% of our immune system is located in the gut, as well as 70% of serotonin production, this emphasizes just how important it is that we recognize our gut bugs and overall gut health. We can do this by nurturing them through good nutrition, stress management and lifestyle choices. In return our gut will protect our overall health and vitality which is a big deal! .

The gut is a magical place and never seizes to amaze me! It’s also good to note that good bacteria is also found in our eyes, mouth, vagina and skin! The trillions of bacteria, fungi, and viruses that are found both in and on us is not something that should be ignored, we need to feed our body what it loves and protect our microbiome like it deserves.

Today the world is just too much 😩

🤔 Leaky gut. An interesting topic. Another hypothesis is that leaky gut is induced through activation of various components of the stress response to help meet the increased metabolic demand induced by stress. It really does get you thinking. 
Chronic leaky gut, will contribute to a low grade inflammatory state however.

Today's Ferment: All Organic ( Always) cabbage, beets, carrots, ginger, garlic, turmeric, cayenne pepper & juniper berries  w/ Himalayan Pink Salt. I wanted something made especially for the cold & flu season . Did you know fermented foods support a healthy immune system? Seriously, if anyone is ever sick( or wants to keep well) I suggest you ferment about it. Top that with ginger, garlic, and cayenne pepper.. mmmhmmm. Immunity boostin' LIVING delicious sauerkraut. Самой частой проблемой, c которой женщины обращаются к гинекологу являются патологические выделения из половых путей. Причина возникновения выделений – различные виды вредоносных микроорганизмов: бактерии, грибы, вирусы. 🤢

В настоящее время бактериальный вагиноз (БВ) занимает лидирующее место (до 60-80%) в структуре воспалительных заболеваний женских половых органов. 
Это инфекционный синдром, характеризующийся резким снижением кислотности влагалища и концентрации лактобацилл вследствие нарушения экосистемы влагалища, при котором происходит замещение нормальной микрофлоры🔮 на условно-патогенную и патогенную. 👾

Огромную роль в поддержании нормальной микрофлоры во влагалище отводится молочнокислым бактериям. Данные микроорганизмы являются «санитарами» влагалища.🚑 ⚠Дело в том, что нормальные клетки слизистой влагалища содержат вещество гликоген. Лактобациллы расщепляют гликоген до молочной кислоты, которая пагубно действует на патологические микробы. 
Помимо молочных бактерий во влагалище в норме присутствуют другие микроорганизмы – гарднереллы, пептококки, мобилинкус, концентрация которых во влагалище ничтожно мало. 🆘При нарушении защитных свойств женской половой системы эти микробы начинают усиленно размножаться.

How The Food You Eat Affects Your Gut

Bacteria, viruses and fungi live inside of us. Maintaining a balanced relationship with them is to our advantage. Together they form the gut microbiome. This is a rich ecosystem that performs a variety of functions in our bodies. We do not how much of a gut bacteria we need to stay well. The bacteria in our gut can breakdown foods that the body cannot digest. Produce important nutrients. Regulate the immune system and protect against harmful germs. We do not know what good gut bacteria that our body needs. But we do know that it is important for our bodies. Eating lifestyle is an emerging influence regarding the health of our gut. We can affect the state of our micros by paying attention to what we eat.

Dietary fiber may come from fruits and vegetables, nuts, legumes and whole grains. We have a reaction in our body that  we can monitor. The health of our micros is based on what we eat. When bacteria digest fiber they produce short chain fatty acids that nourish the gut barrier, improve the immune function, and can prevent  inflammation, which reduces the risk of cancer. The more fiber we digest the more fiber digesting bacteria colonize your gut.

What goes on with our immune system when we eat low fiber, processed foods? Lower fiber means less fuel for the gut bacteria, essentially starving  them until they die off. This results in less diversity in trillions of cells in our body.

Specific foods affect gut bacteria (microbiome). One study shows fruits, vegetables, legumes and whole grains, leading the list of foods to provide us with good gut health, specifically increased bacteria diversity.

Sometimes a prayer is all there is left. Sometimes you get on your knees and plead, to the air and the sky above in an extremely futile hope of influencing life's decision, as though the future is created in the sky. 😂 It's a last ditch attempt. Pleading, on your knees, like a victim. Hands clasped together in desperation. Asking. Promising. Bartering. "Take me not him! Let her be OK! Make him see sense! Please!" To our Christian landlord who is currently trying to rip us off. Let him see the light, God, eh! Let him be a good Christian towards us! 🙏 I still pray too. Futile or not, I still do it. I guess it makes me feel better. I always say a prayer at temples, churches and memorials. I always whisper words of thanks or gratitude, condolence and sadness. I often ask WHY? DEAR LORD WHY? But I never get an answer! 🙉 So I talk to spirits, ancestors, and Goddesses... I talk to trees and rocks and animals. I invoke their wisdom, love and compassion... and I seem somehow to get more of an answer from them... they tell me to breathe, to relax. They tell me that everything will be OK. 💖 And so I'm calling on them again today, 'Please let this be peaceful. Please let him see that he has to relinquish control and let us move out because the house has a subsistence problem. Please... let him be nice! (And do the right thing!)' 🌸 Religion is supposed to make you a better person, but does it? I'm really not so sure! 😢

We are in a hypothyroid epidemic, but it is never just about the thyroid. In order to maintain healthy thyroid function, you have to be able to convert inactive T4 hormone into active T3 hormone. 20% of this conversion occurs in the intestines. 60% of this conversion occurs in the liver. There are some enterotoxigenic bacteria in our gut microbiota. Some strains of “Bacteroides fragilis”, namely ‘‘enterotoxigenic B. fragilis’’ (ETBF), were known to secrete a 20-kDa zinc-dependent metalloprotease toxin (BFT).

I’m curious how other vegans manage their amino acids. I found out mine are extremely low. I’m currently supplementing, but I’m researching and trying to figure out a better way. My functional medicine practitioner recommended introducing eggs and possibly fish or supplementing on a more permanent bases.
I’d love to hear suggestions or personal experiences.

Cauliflower is my new best friend. I often make cauliflower mash and cauliflower rice but more recently I've got into roasting this awesome vegetable.

Toss cauliflower florets in oil, cumin, chilli powder, then season with salt and pepper.

Roast for about 35 minutes until golden. Then serve with tzatziki or your favourite sauce.

Maple syrup (to taste; Approx. 1-2 tsp)
2 BIOHM Probiotic Capsules

Open can of chilled coconut milk. Scoop out the thick, cream layer on top into the bowl of a mixer. ‼️ Be careful not to get the liquidy coconut water at the bottom! Add a bit of sweetener and open your probiotic capsules to empty contents into cream. Mix on high until light and fluffy! 🥄 .
P.S. Leftover coconut water can be used in smoothies!
