This day I remember watching a group of kids taking turns sliding down the glacier into the freezing cold water...while I sat there and watched time seemed to stop and I felt this bizarre sensation that I was a kid again myself. I think maybe because I'm so used to seeing kids glued to their phones here in Michigan, that when I go out to Colorado and see kids out everywhere hiking and playing it's a bit of culture-shock. So crazy that two places 1,300 miles apart can be so different. And to think landscapes like this one could be part of that reason, socially, that that's the case from location to location is pretty powerful.
P.S. I do love Michigan though, hard. - 5 hours ago
