[JOURNAL] We had a long week of heavy rain last week, and in Hiroshima where most of my husband’s family live, many people died and lost home, and there was a landslide not too far from my parents-in-law’s home. I’m very thankful that our family and friends are all fine and safe.
When my parents-in-law called us Saturday morning after the long heavy rain was finally over there, we asked if there was anything we can send them from Tokyo, and they asked pictures of their granddaughter’s smiles. So we went to the Star Festival and Morning Glory market in Ueno, and stopped by Ueno Zoo. I spent the day taking pictures & videos of my daughter and sent them to her grandparents. .
At night, she called and told them all the fun she had on the day. My mother-in-law writes “positive diary” every night where she has been collecting something positive from the day for the past 20 years after she retired (wow!) and she said she was glad that she could collect positives to write down on her diary.
I haven’t reached to my mother-in-law’s level to collect 100% positive only so sometime I write something negative in my journal especially I’m tired, but I try to end the sentence or paragraph with positive words so I can close my journal with positive feeling. This 75-year-old lady is a true inspiration to me and teaches me how to live my life with positive vibes.
Wish you a happy new week everyone!!
