Sunday pamper session. I often get asked about how best to look after/ prep the skin prior to getting married. My advice is, don’t over prep the skin too much too close to the day. If you want to ensure your skin is in tip top condition then I’d recommend completing a course of facials monthly, during the 8-6 month’s leading up to the wedding. However, don’t have a facial within the last month prior to the wedding, as their purpose is to detoxify the skin and in order to get there sometimes breakouts occur as the impurities are brought to the surface. The same applies for a clay based mask, i’d recommend having one two weeks prior to the big day, but after that leave your skin well alone or again you may bring out your own blemishes. I would however recommend using a hydrating mask, such as a @garnieruk Moisture Bomb tissue mask, in the run the to the big day. As the purpose of this mask is to increase hydration and not draw out impurities, it is fine to use the evening before or even on the day of a big event for hydrated-looking radiant skin.
