Last week I had a once in a life time and humbling experience to dive on the USS ARIZONA.
On December 7th 1941, 1177 sailors and marines lost their lives in a surprise attack on Pearl Harbour.
That day those service members showed up to work on a warship just like they would on any other day, something I did for many years.
Since then many surviving members have been buried on the site to be at rest with their brothers.
Thank you to Mobile Diving Salvage Unit one (#mdsu ) for providing the opportunity to view such a sacred site of American military heritage. "To the Memory of the Gallant Men Here Entombed and their shipmates who gave their lives in action on December 7, 1941, on the U.S.S. Arizona"
