️Have you taken your vitamin D today?️ ️ From October to end of March there is not enough sunshine (even on sunny days the rays are not sufficient) for us to make Vitamin D so it is recommended we all take a supplement (available in drops for infants and young children). Here's Juno taking hers (I look far too frightening after 5 days of minimal sleep to be in this pic ). We have a chewable tablet that tastes of raspberry which she reminds me everyday as she thinks it's a sweet! When you are buying yours make sure you check the dose as they are not all the same (see next post!) Breastfed babies from birth to 1 yr need 8.5 micrograms 1yr and over 10 micrograms per day. Formula fed babies having more than 500mls of formula per day do not need a supplement as the milk is fortified.
