A N T I - A G E I N G S E R U M
I’ve made this serum a few times and it’s lovely. Why home-made? I love buying beauty products that work and will continue to do so, but from time to time I love experimenting with making my own stuff.
I love the creative process, there is something very therapeutic about mixing the ingredients. I also love that it is much cheaper to make certain things at home. As long as it’s not complex, I am in!
My mum said that this serum is far better than several other natural shop bought ones she’s tried! It’s lovely for dry skin anywhere. If you have oily/mixed skin, use it sparingly - I tend to rub a few drops in the palms of my hands and then just press the serum onto the skin with an open palm. You can control how much you put on that way. Definitely don’t rub drops of serum in as it will likely be too much and you’ll end up with a shiny, slippery face, lol!
The full recipe is on dr Axe’s website, look for Homemade Anti-ageing Serum. It has jojoba oil, evening primrose oil, pomegranate oil, vitamin E, lavender oil, frankincense oil and carrot seed oil. I also added a few drops rose absolute, it’s devine and it does wonders for the skin!
Use high quality oils, of course. Do you have a favourite serum?
