The day we left for London, it was 68-degrees, the sun so bright, you had to squint outdoors.
sitting at the Los Angeles airport, I read her text: Be sure to pack snow shoes.
And my response was: WHAT ARE SNOW SHOES?!?
No, really, I had no idea what snow shoes were. I packed the thickest jacket I own, but so far the English are looking at me with pitying looks.
Blimey, look at that poor dumb Californian, their eyes said.
But I'm undeterred. I'm wiping the frost from my mouth and the wearing every piece of clothing I packed. It’s so cold my teeth ache...but it can’t stop me from smiling!
So excited to meet new friends and speak at #ukphotoshow tomorrow at 11am!
