The California Academy of Sciences is a natural history museum in San Francisco, located in Golden Gate Park. Founded back in 1853 but completely rebuilt in 2008. At 400,000 square feet The Academy of Science is among the largest natural history museums in the world. Over 26 million specimens are housed in the departments of the Kimball Natural History Museum, Morrison Planetarium, Steinhart Aquarium and the Rain forests of the World exhibition.
