Two tiny friends! If you've seen my stories yesterday, you'll know I ran into some problems while I was glazing them 🙄. For some reason, the glaze was brushing off the chalk pastels on some pieces I was mostly surprised, since this was the same glaze as always and it had never happened before (I still haven't figured it out really 🤷). Anyway, no matter the reason, the damage had been done. More important than dwell on it, I had to fix it. And what this hiccup taught me is something I think we all need to remember every once in a while (especially artists!): ALL MISTAKES ARE LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES. I fixed the cheeks with acrylic paint and imo they look better than before and it's something I wouldn't have tried if everything had gone as planned.
So, all of this is to say: take chances! Make mistakes! Let mistakes take you away from your plan! In art, part of the fun is messing up ️️️ - 14 hours ago
