Let’s keep it real: no one likes someone who brags. Whether it be bragging about the expensive things you own, how many vacations you go on in a year, or how much money you make; it’s all bragging. There’s a very fine line between “gratitude” and “bragging”. When it comes down to core of “why” people nonstop brag, it’s because these people are insecure; they crave acceptance from others because they don’t accept themselves. It’s important to remember that riches don’t make you a great person, or how much money you make. When you lack character, you are a poor person, even if you’re rich with money. Riches don’t make you rich. Life lessons make you rich; friends and family make you rich; even just having a roof over your head with food and water makes you rich. But overall, great character makes you rich, and THAT will get you farther than anyone who has money and lacks character/moral principles. Dig deep within to heal your insecurities. Stop trying to get approval from the wrong people. Your real friends will accept you no matter what you have or don’t have. Learn to love yourself. Also- remember that “how many” friends you have doesn’t matter. Rule of thumb that applies to most things in life; it’s about QUALITY not QUANTITY. Small triangles are stronger than large circles. .
