Finished The death of Mrs. Westaway and here’s a small review and PLOT TWIST : I ACTUALLY ENDED UP ENJOYING THIS!
Like mentionned in my previous post, I’ve only read In a dark dark wood, which sucked, in my opinion, so I wasn’t thrilled for this one but WOAAAH good job Ruth, good job.
Old creepy house️
It’s a page turner for sure & I couldn’t put it down.
Those genre of books are usually very predictable and focus on the « who », unlike this one, where the « why » is the intrigue. I loved that. It was well written in the way that you could feel the mood, when things got uncomfortable, I felt it.
I was pleasantly surprised, and only proves that hating a book by one author doesn’t mean they can’t surprise you. After all, they’re human and they evolve too.
I give it a 3.75*, but rounded it to 4* on @goodreads.
I would recommend this book, it’s not a difficult read, very easy to go through, well written and will keep you wanting to know more and more.
