I’ve been thinking a lot about how I spend my time and what truly makes me happy and feel fulfilled at the end of the day. Sadly, attempting to turn my hobby into my business has made me not enjoy the practice of knitting and that makes me incredibly sad. Design deadlines, custom order deadlines, IG posting & engagement expectations — it’s all become too much and to be quite honest with all of you, I am completely and utterly overwhelmed. So, today, I have come to the realization that something has got to give. The days with my little one at home are flying by and I’m spending too much time trying to meet the next deadline to fully enjoy his youth. As such, I will be filling my existing custom orders but will not be taking on any new ones for the time being. I will only design patterns if and when inspiration hits. I will only be spending time here on social media when it doesn’t infringe upon my time with my family. I need to say one thing to all of you — THANK YOU. Thank you for coming along on my knitting and fiber journey. I wholeheartedly appreciate each and every one of you for wanting to engage with me here on this crazy thing called the internet. If you decide to stick around (and I hope you do!), expect to see a lot more selfish knitting on my feed. Love to you all. xo, Vanessa .
