It's a familiar story.
The alarm goes off, you stumble to the bathroom, splash your face and throw on your #cardio gear.
The day starts the same as the last 14 days and quickly you're out onto the pavement and beginning a slow, lethargic #jog .
Eventually, this routine gets boring.
So what happens next..? You delay cardio until the evening and stay in bed for an extra hour. After a #stressful day at work you decide that rather than going out and pounding the pavement, you're going to have a Netflix binge that evening.
So the delays start to turn into cancellations and eventually you remove cardio completely from your routine.
Whether or not you do cardio during the spring, summer, autumn or winter it should be something that you #enjoy and look forward to.
More fun equals more effort and more effort equals more desirable #results .
I love to walk our #Maltese #dog Flo and include that in my programme as cardio.
30 minutes daily, throwing the ball for her and chasing her around the park is great for getting the heart rate up and it's also really enjoyable and relaxing - exactly how I like my cardio!
I've noticed that it doesn't even feel like I'm doing cardio and yet I get the same great #fatloss and #cardiovascular benefits.
We adopted Flo last year from Romania. Her story is truly horrific. She was bred to be used as bait for fighting dogs. Thank god she was rescued. She now goes pretty much everywhere with us and you can always guarantee that she'll liven up any occasion.
I hear every day the struggles people have with doing some exercise or daily activity. I'm given numerous excuses for not doing it but the underlying reason often comes down to the fact that it's boring or too hard.
I want you to think outside the typical jogging on the treadmill box and come up with ideas for cardio that you'd enjoy and can see yourself doing regularly. It could be walking the dog, cycling with the kids, watersports, hiking, sports like football or squash.
There are so many options that there is no excuse for saying cardio is boring and not doing it.
