If your a beginner this is a great place to start 👍🏿 Full body workouts with compound movements 🏋🏾‍♂️ A good 6-8 exercises, get stronger, work on your form and your done. No need to overdo it and workout to the point where you cannot properly recover in time for your next workout. Listen to your body and focus on increasing your strength, fully engaging the muscles being worked and improving your form.

Yesterday’s strength training made my back and arms feel gelatinous this morning. These workouts were super uncomfortable. Lol Half the time…I try to mimic the demo videos I’m given or I just send them straight to coach if they still don’t feel right. And most of the time the right way is the most uncomfortable way. Trying something new - mixing up my strength training with @sidwyer_warriortraining. Got completely out of my comfort zone, but what a feeling! Cannot move hands, shoulders or legs, completely worn out like I ran 20k! 
April has been a month of changes, challenges and achievements...best month of the year by far for me so far. Once you make a decision that’s been clouding your normal functioning day, things start to flow..the hard bit was making the decision, I made it & actioned it and how glad I am!

Hit some ok feeling squats yesterday after a pt test, my legs were tight and sore but still managed to hit 5x4 @ with weights of 325lbs for two sets and 335lbs for 3 sets.

I see new and experienced lifters in the gym making this mistake far too often
.
The deadlift is not a squat, it’s a hip hinge
.
If your hips are tracking as low as you knees you’re probably deadlifting wrong
.
Your hips should be lower than your shoulders when you deadlift, but they don’t need to be way lower
.
Practice this hip hinge motion by standing up straight and bending forward, pushing your butt back toward the wall behind you as far as possible

While individual recovery varies on genetics, age, weight diet quality and training volume/intensity there are strategies you can use to improve your recovery from hard workouts.
·
SMR (self myofascial release) has many benefits and is popular amongst athletes and rehab specialists to improve ROM, performance and decrease recovery time by attenuating the symptoms of DOMS. Foam rolling helps to breaks up little muscle/fascial adhesions that cause muscle imbalances.
·
📍Studies have shown foam rolling has a acute short-term effect on increasing ROM without affecting muscle performance.
·
📍Reduced Muscle Soreness - 3 studies found that foam rolling within 30 mins after intense exercise lead to reduced DOMS  and two of the studies showed a statistical improvement in pain reduction and performance post foam rolling.
·
📍 Does not enhance or  negatively impact performance, however some studies showed a physiological advantage for athletes noting pre workout rolling may have a strong placebo effect for performance.
·
Getting extra sleep after a tough workout is the easiest and most under utilized component's of a good recovery regime.

Awesome dynamic warm up exercise, also great drill to improve arm acceleration & increase shoulder strength & motion... plyometric ball throws into the wall using a 2 pound plyoball... I love this drill for rehab but also prior to going out and throwing !
