This was such a good breakfast this morning, I made stewed apple last night and it's so thick which is the best!

Voici plusieurs exercices de préparation mentale, qui vous aideront lors de vos entraînements et de vos épreuves sportives quelles qu’elles soient.

Le monologue intérieur positif (ou dialogue interne positif) :
L’astuce est de prendre conscience de ses pensées négatives et de  les remplacer par des pensées positives

Distraire l’esprit : il existe une technique redoutable qui consiste à « tromper » l’esprit en le distrayant. Vous pouvez par exemple, compter  le nombre de répétitions pendant vos squats... C’est également pour cela que la musique pendant l’effort aide à lutter contre la douleur et la fatigue en « occupant » votre esprit.

La douleur fait partie intégrante du sport. Quelle que soit la durée ou l’intensité de l’épreuve, à un moment  vous allez souffrir. Yay it’s Friday!! I’m back home from uni for the weekend so I’ve had a really lazy morning and it’s just what I needed 🙏 when I finally got out of bed this chocolate & berry protein smoothie bowl was a yummy and nutritious way to fire up my gut for the day 🔥🌺 no gym for me today but I am going to make the most of this beautiful crisp sun and being back in the countryside by going on a dog walk with mum 🐶🌳 you just can’t beat that fresh country air!! It’s been a weird month. 
About 4 weeks ago I was squatting low bar (not my norm) in cold weather (not Florida’s norm) and my knee twisted/popped and this began a long, frustrating 4 weeks of healing and rehabbing it.

The last 6 days I took off of the gym completely. Did lots of walking and some stairs etc, but no gym. 
This is day 1 of project “see if it’ll be ready to enter competition prep mode” hitting a squat single of 300#. It’s not pretty (or quite to depth) but it wasn’t painful. And that’s a start!

It’s been a weird month. Yet again I am not eating this but I made one of my epic sandwich stacks for my mum to take to work with her today! Just Piri Piri hummus with all the veggies and sriracha stuffed between two slices of sourdough rye bread! You can’t do everything all of the time. Last week I was too exhausted to work out, so I ditched my routine for a while and got on the mat. I love that yoga is the place to go in those times. You could be feeling sick or tired or fatigued and there’s always a yoga flow for you. I only have positive things to say about @bloklondon in Shoreditch. The front of house staff were welcoming and friendly, the instructor was motivational and positive and the class was great fun! The actual studio is really funky and well worth a visit. I tried the callisthenics class, which only use body weight and movement. 60 minutes sped by - I even got to practice my pulls and handstands!! Winner!!

Falling in love ❤️ with stretch days. 
I used to see stretch days on the calendar and just bypass, preferring to sleep in rather than go through a slow moving full body stretch. I can't believe how much better my body has responded since I started incorporating stretching - obvious benefits like improving my flexibility, but also I've noticed a faster recovery time from the wear and tear of my heavy workout days, and less joint flare ups from my rheumatoid arthritis. In short, stretching = good!

Had so much fun on mine and @aj.perky_feelfitness mate date last night to @redspiderclimbing took me about 10 minutes to stop being such a scardy cat and get to the top and really warm to it! 😂.

Attempted to go for a run this morning and failed miserably. I'm so exhausted and couldn't make my legs move! Stayed out and turned it into a walk instead.  Pretty sure my body is still dying from yesterday's Grit session. So today I'm having a rest day (but still going to walk a bit more to get the rest of my steps in). It's important to listen to your body and know when to stop! *I haven't run much for a couple of weeks so I know that's possibly part of it. Didn’t do a good job of checking my attitude but it’s done and I kept pushing. I may have yelled and swore a few times but it happens 😜
