I swear I’d wake up early EVERY day if this were my view
I woke up in NYC today (not South Carolina), but FINALLY got my butt out of bed when the alarm went off at 5:00. 🏼 As a FT entrepreneur who usually doesn’t have anywhere to be until 5/6pm, I definitely need a ton of self-control to wake up & get stuff done when I don’t technically “have to”. I’ve come to love & value my morning routine, but lately getting to bed early has just NOT been happening for me. As a result, I’ve been waking up later & procrastinating more/getting less done, too. I’ve found myself falling back into old habits that went along with my habit of pressing snooze & sleeping in.
It’s crazy how much a positive morning routine can truly impact our day, but I was reminded of that this AM. Some reading, journaling, planning & meditation done before 6 and a ton of work done before 9 definitely sets the tone. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll still love myself a nap though but only if my other priorities are taken care of first. - 2 days ago
