Did you know that I have a sweet tooth, big time. My childhood diet consisted of choo choo bars, white knights and fizzers...the ultimate sweet treat was a slice of Viennetta ice cream which back in the late 80s was usually reserved for the “parents” dessert, so a slice of that “classy” ice cream bar would become unforgettable. As I grew into my teens that sweet tooth dwindled and now I’m actually super super picky about sweets and desserts. My go to sweet treat is usually a home made cacao raw ball or a hot cup of honeyed cacao. If I’m at a cafe and I’m reading a menu with smashed avo + poached eggs or some kind of pancake or waffle combination with ice cream and fresh fruit I’m genuinely torn. If I am out at a restaurant and I read that house made gelato or ice cream is on the menu, it’s a given that I’m going to order it. I also love me a good sweet pastry with custard or ganache and I also love sweet Asian style iced coffees. I’m actually super obsessed with royal milk bubble tea on a daily life standard. .
I would love to know what soothes your sweet tooth and where have you had the best dessert? .
