GRADUATION DAY!! Woohoo!!! 🏾🏾🏾🏾
Let me walk you through the 5.5 year journey to get here:
2012: Move to Ottawa
2013: Change universities
2014: Change my major (lots of frustration and exhaustion)
2014:move to Quebec
2015: change my major again and consider dropping out of school (lots of tears and exhaustion)
2016: change my major back lol and can snider dropping out of school again.
2016: Graduate from psychology
2016: get married
2017: By far the hardest year. I struggled, cried....A LOT, had panick attacks, nearly failed one of my necessary credits, and barely made it to the end. THEN, just when I thought I had crossed the finish line, my whole degree was in jeopardy when I was accused of plagiarism. At that point, I was so fed up and dejected, that all I could do was pray that God would somehow rectify the situation. .
In true fatherly fashion, God defended me, and took care of the whole thing. I started this journey with a love for knowledge, I used to be excited to learn, and excel. But along the way, each challenge I faced in school knocked a little zeal out of me each month, and school became this dreadful thing I had to finish. .
5.5 years, and two degrees later, here I am. Today I am truly grateful. God has brought me through, and I look forward to regaining my love for learning to in the future ahead of me. To all the graduates of 2018, congratulations!! You made it through despite all the challenges you have faced. To those who are still on the journey, I’m rooting for you! You CAN and you WILL get there. Keep up the fight!! .
P.S. thank you to momma Manu, @sammy.nkanza and @toya.nkanza @cconngenesis for faithfully coming out to support me, I love you guys so much ️
