I personally love the look of well developed shoulders on women! So this has been one of my main off season focuses.

Growing up, something my parents always told me was to finish my food. That stuck with me forever.
.
As a binge eater, the best feeling ever was feeling full. But sometimes, I would just feel TOO full. If I left any food on my plate, the words my parents used to tell me would leave me feeling guilty if I didn’t finish every last bite.
.
This morning we ordered food in since our kitchen is out of order for a while. I got a veggie omelette that came with a giant side of hash browns plus 2 pieces of wheat toast.
.
I’m SO proud to say that I was able to kick that guilty feeling of leaving food on my plate by knowing that my body was fueled properly and feeling full WITHOUT over stuffing myself.
.
1/2 a veggie omelette, a few bites of hash browns, a slice of wheat toast with peanut butter, and a banana has me feeling COMFORTABLY full and guiltless!
.
I was always the person that believed weight loss wasn’t in the books for me. I worked out constantly but I never had the right nutrition. Now I’ve come to learn that nutrition IS the key to weight loss! Yes, we need to get out and move our bodies daily, but fueling your body properly is the main factor in healthy weight loss.
.
I’m not sure why it took me so long to figure it out, but I sure am glad I did!♥️🌺

CHEST: "Workout for Everyone" no equipment workout has chest muscles in this installments. Now I know most people fear the push up so what you can do to train yourself is touch the knees to the floor and do these exact same exercises. Show Ma Anand Sheela, that you too have em tough titties.

👉🏼Flipping tyres last weekend with @amyloulifts down at @gymone.chester was an awesome way to switch things up for cardio and make it fun.
⌚️If you use a fitness tracker while doing alternative methods of cardio, you can still make sure you’re burning the same amount of calories you aim for on the treadmill etc.

1. I need a bigger stability ball 😜
2. I’ve added some drop sets and more supersets to my routine lately and the pumps been crazy 
3. You don’t need a ton of space or equipment to get a great workout in
4. I’ve had #KOD on repeat since #friday so you’ll just have to get used to it 
After a decade in the gym these #homeworkouts have been super refreshing for me
This routine could easily be done in the gym, but doing so at home saves me my 20 minute commute each way and waiting at the bench or for someone else to put their weights away

Looking for a triceps exercise that tests your balance while strengthening your upper arm muscles? Try this side plank with a triceps extension. Remember to keep your movement slow and steady for the best results.

Step 1
Assume start position as shown by supporting your weight on your right forearm and sides of feet.
Step 2
Hold this position throughout the entire exercise.
Step 3
Straighten out your arm and contract your triceps muscle.
Step 4
Bend your elbow and return to start position.
Challenge yourself doing 30-60 sec and 5lbs dumbbell. 
You can raise the time or raise the weight to challenge yourself even more. Do both side same weight and same time!

The ol’ “trip a guy” lol.. More new stuff, recently we started working on this little move. It amazes me how simple and effective the principles of Hapkido are- going this slow is hard though! As the pace increases, the movements are much easier because we can actually use the aggressor’s energy against them. I am excited to go down this road for years to come! ☠️

leg day with a little help from my friends at @purewow 💪🏼 my go-to leg workout these days is: 
1️⃣ kettlebell squats (25 lb) - 3 sets of 10
2️⃣ kettlebell front lunges (25 lb) - 3 sets of 10 on each side 
3️⃣ kettlebell back lunges (25 lb) - 3 sets of 10 on each side 
4️⃣ double leg press (80 lb) - 3 sets of 10
5️⃣ single leg press (70lb) - 3 sets of 10 on each side 
I’m still building my strength back up after knee surgery last summer but this gets the job done!

Ok I’m a qualified PT. Learnt some great theory. Now to apply it to my own training. 
I will go into more detail on my blog. Explaining the what and why of each training session.  I am now on day 3 of my 2 month hypertrophy phase. Which means I’m pumping iron. 
Rests are 2 minutes. Which may sound a lot but the intensity is high. 
Day Three: Legs (Heavy), Arms (Light) * Legs: High bar squats to below parallel, 
50kg warm
50kg jump squats 
70kg 9 rep warm set. 
80kg warm set
90kg working set. 7 reps 
Set 2 90kg 7 reps
Set 3 90kg drop set to 20kg. ☠️☠️🤮 * leg presses and deadlifts, on your heavy leg day. On your light day do not do any deadlifts.
* Biceps: biceps curls (either with the bar or dumbbells)
* Triceps: one triceps press such as close–grip bench presses, dips, pullover & press or triceps

I just want to say WOW I had some amazing sleep last night. I think it’s because I hiked and then worked out with this guy yesterday. KILLER BACK DAY! 💪🏻 Endorphins were amazing. Here is what we did: Warmed up for 5 mins on Treadmill. Then stretched for 5 mins.

▫️ Standing rope lat pull down 4 x 12.
▫️ Bent over rows with cable machine 10 reps slow followed by 10 reps fast 4 x 20.
▫️ Close grip pulldowns 4 x 12.
▫️Seated cable rows wide grip 4 x 15.

Recovery.

We treat it like it's some hush hush four letter word that needs to be kept in the cold dark depths of our closets.

But it's a fact of life, a fact of workout out to attain goals.

Recovery.

It could be stretching, mobilizing, relaxing in a hot tub or ice bath. It could be taking the night off to recoup your brain.

It is what will allow you to push at 100% in the next workout - if you do it right.

I don't quite know why we all pretend that recovery isn't part of the game. The idea that you just need to show up.

Keto treats 💜 From @goodeats_tastytreats - Thursday morning eats, berry cream cheese stuffed waffles ftw Recipe below!

Waffles:
Ingredients
1 cup almond flour sifted
1/2 Tablespoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup heavy cream 
2 Tablespoons coconut oil
3 eggs
1/2 tablespoon of vanilla extract 
1 tbs granulated erythritol
.
Filling :
2oz cream cheese, softened
1tbs sugar free jam , I used blackberry .
Directions
1. In large bowl, whisk together sifted flour, baking powder and salt. 
2. Mix together all wet ingredients. 
3. Add wet to dry, let sit 5 minutes.
4. Pour batter into waffle maker, but not too full as you'll want these to be a little thinner
5. While the waffles are cooking combine the cream cheese and jam.
6. Once the waffles are done, take about a tablespoon of filling and sandwich it between 2 of quartered waffles.
7. Enjoy!
